Petsitting FAQS

Pet Sitting FAQ

What will my pet sitter do during visits with my pets?

Visits usually consist of providing fresh water, feeding, playtime, outdoor time, walks, and plenty of attention. We may also turn lights on/off, bring in mail/paper, water plants, and take trash out. Standard visits are approximately 30 minutes.

Is my pet sitter available for times other than when I go on vacation?

Yes! Your pet sitter is available to provide daily walks or check in on an old or ill pet while you are working.

When I go out of town, how many visits should I schedule for my pet?

For dogs, we recommend at least two visits per day. For indoor dogs, three times a day would be best. For cats, one visit per day is usually sufficient. Overnight visits are available at additional cost.

What if my pet becomes ill while I am away?

Charlotte Pet Services requires our clients to complete forms in advance detailing Vet information and emergency contact information. Ultimately, the well being and safely of your pet is our priority and your pet sitter will transport to the vet if the situation deems necessary.

Should I ask my pet sitter for references?

Absolutely! Your pet sitter should be happy to provide references and you should contact them.
